The D.C. servomotors (ISM series) and
the general purpose motors (407 series),
with permanent magnet excitation, are the
industrial evolution of a "custom" product
manufactured in more than 9 million units;
they are, therefore, an economic, rational
and reliable solution to all the variabile
speed, fractional horsepower applications.
These products are available in two sizes
(1 and 2 Nm rated torque) for each series,
with a wide range of windings for supply
voltage ranging from 12 to 200 Vdc; they
are particularly suitable to operate
controlled by electronic modules, in a wide
speed range on constant torque mode.
[See "Characteristic Curves" catalogue
CAS-002 0101].
Other important technical
features are very low torque ripple, high
value of demagnetizing current, high
efficiency and very low noise.
Examples of applications are:
- actuators, positioning devices and axis
drives
- feeder and transport equipments
- mass compensators for material handling
- winding and tightening machinery
- mixers, dosing machines and centrifuges
- movie projectors and film winders
- textile machines (spooler, automatic
loom and sewing)
- automatic door operators
- trolleys, electric scooters and small
battery operated cars
- wheel and track chairs for disabled people
The servomotors and the general purpose
motors have met, with unity current supply
form factor, the generic standards for
industrial and residential environments,
related to the EMC Directive 89/336/EC.
Tests have been made in independent test
houses.
