permanent magnet water cooled synchronous servomotors are a further development of the successful FAS K, T and F series motors that now offer extended performance capabilities for arduous duty cycle applications, thanks to their impressive dynamics and overload capabilities.

We have produced the FAS W in order to satisfy the wide range of OEM applications that now require short production cycle times, high production rates and increased batch numbers in order to raise machine productivity and profit. Former mechanically and hydraulically operated machine applications are now controlled by our FAS W servomotors, used in conjunction with our DS2000, DBS and DBM04 400/460V digital brushless servodrives.

The forced water cooling permits, thanks to the intrinsic characteristics of the synchronous permanent magnet motor, to achieve a very high power/mass ratio and an extremely efficient system. The FAS W motor range delivers continuous torque ratings from 4.7Nm to 740Nm, and is based on 4 frame sizes with two standard speed ratings per frame size, thus offering a family of some 35 standard types. All our products comply with EN61800-3 (1996) for industrial environments according to EC Directive 89/336/EEC (EMC).
